Client Objectives
We were selected to work alongside the African American Museum of Philadelphia to support a critical phase of institutional planning and growth. Our engagement began with a comprehensive evaluation and update of the Museum’s existing feasibility study to align prior assumptions, program goals, and market conditions with current realities and long-term aspirations.
Through close collaboration with Museum leadership, we clarified priorities, refined objectives, and established a framework to guide decision-making. This effort included developing preliminary project budgets tied to planned objectives, as well as project schedules aligned with key strategies to support sequencing, milestone tracking, and coordination across initiatives.
Results
Cresa developed an integrated roadmap to support execution and position the Museum for its next phase of growth. A functional project team organizational chart defined roles, responsibilities, and communication pathways to ensure accountability and efficient collaboration among internal staff and external consultants.
To advance implementation, Cresa created an overarching strategic plan focused on funding readiness and stakeholder engagement. This plan outlined pathways for securing financial support, framed the project’s value proposition, and guided discussions with potential funders and partners. By integrating financial planning, scheduling, and organizational structure, the work provided the African American Museum of Philadelphia with a clear, actionable strategy to confidently engage stakeholders and move forward.
